Biographical Info
Matt Williams serves as Vice President and SBA Business Development Officer for United Community Bank. In this capacity, he is responsible for generating new SBA 7(a) and 504 loans through prospecting, outside calling, networking and referrals. His banking career spans over 20 years where he has held roles in mortgage, retail banking and commercial lending. Williams is a native of Greenville, SC and earned his bachelor’s degree from Clemson University in 2004. He currently lives in Simpsonville, SC with his wife, Lynn, and their two children, Macie, 13, and Farr, 12. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, spending time on the lake, playing basketball, and coaching his kid’s football and basketball teams. Williams is active in the Greenville community, currently serving as Treasurer for the Mauldin Christian Academy Parent Teacher Partnership, and previously serving on various boards and committees for Julie Valentine Center, Simpsonville Centennial Lions Club, Community Foundation of Greenville, and United Way of Greenville County.
